The frighteningly lightweight Elemental RP1 emerged fully for the first time today, ahead of its public debut at this week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014. At its heart, the 450kg RP1 has a unique carbon-composite tub based on the designs of contemporary race cars. The driver will sit 'feet up', allowing for greater underfloor downforce, which goes some way to explaining how the car achieves a quoted 200kg of downforce at 100mph.
VW Up 5 Door
The first photos of the VW Up 5 door have been revealed, a few months after the 3-Door Up debuted officially at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The 3-Door VW Up debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in September, but instead of being the radical departure we were expecting, it turned out to be just a replacement for the VW Lupo. And now we get the first photos of the VW Up 5-Door, which will broaden the appeal of the Up!
Ford revealed customized versions of the Focus ST on Monday for the upcoming SEMA show in November. The four new hatches add to the company's Dreamcase, a website that shows off what Ford will offer at the aftermarket show. The Focus ST by PM Lifestyle gets a Banks Power straight-shot water methanol injection system along with 19-inch wheels from Rotiform, GT Radial Champiro tires, Sparco seats and Schroth Racing five-point harness.
